Hot Honey Chili Oil

The perfect combo between sweet and spicy sauce has arrived! Introducing my hot honey chili oil dipping sauce. Perfect for coating a fried chicken tender into or for dipping into!

Prep: 5 minutes

Difficulty: Easy
Serves: 5

Ingredients

  1. 2 cloves Garlic, (fresh, grated)
  2. 1/3 cup Chili Flakes
  3. 1/3 cup Canola Oil, (or any neutral oil of choice)
  4. 1 tsp Parsley, Dried
  5. 1 tsp Salt and Pepper
  6. 1 cup Hot Honey – Zoë Olive Oil

Process

    1. In a saucepan over medium heat, heat neutral oil
    2. In a bowl, add your garlic, dried chili flakes, parsley, salt and pepper and hot honey
    3. Once the oil is hot enough for a toothpick to bubble up, it is ready
    4. Pour your oil over the hot honey and spice mixture – it should create mini bubbles and make a noise (activating the spices)
    5. Give it a good mix and use immediately OR store in a glass jar on the counter for future use
    6. Enjoy!

    Notes

Store in an air tight glass container or a glass jar on counter to keep for future recipes. If you find it is not thick enough or too spicy, you can add regular honey to balance it out!
